ARC Race Benchmark
How to play
  1. A handwritten digit fills the canvas, but you only ever see through one small window. Everything else is grey. You start on a stroke, so there's always something in view.
  2. Move the window with the arrow keys or the pad — up, down, left, right. Each move is one sensing step, and the window travels half its own width, so views overlap.
  3. You see one window at a time. The rest is memory. That's the whole point of the benchmark — turn on Keep a trail if you'd rather play the easier lookback version.
  4. Name the digit once. You get one answer: right wins the round, wrong ends it. Fewest sensing steps wins; correctness comes first, so a lucky one-step guess doesn't beat a careful correct one.

36 steps available, which is exactly the number of distinct window positions. Published models score 6.5–61% here while scoring 92–98% on the same digits shown whole, so you are the favourite. Prefer puzzles? Try ARC Race →
